Geography field trip for Year 6 around our local area

This week, our students in year 6 have been out in the local area conducting geography fieldwork. The aims of their investigation were to better understand economic activity in and around Midsomer Norton and to determine how it could/should change in the future. The children carried out a land use survey, economic activity surveys and footfall surveys in areas with established businesses, as well as venturing out into more rural areas surrounding the town to determine where future developments could be located. All adults involved were really proud of how the year 6s carried out these tasks - once again, they did St. John’s proud.
